 Advantage Credit Counseling Service, formerly known as Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Western Pennsylvania, has been helping people get rid of their “debt monkey” since 1968 by educating them on matters of personal finance management, budgeting and credit management.

The non-profit 501(c)3 agency is accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and holds membership with the Better Business Bureau. Advantage has been designated as a certified comprehensive housing counseling agency by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Advantage is also a member of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling, the umbrella association for over 100 credit counseling agencies nationwide that promotes the highest member standards for credit counseling.

Established in 1978, Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Northeastern PA.® (CCCS) is a non-profit organization that offers a variety of programs to serve the consumer. We offer a variety of services which include free Budget Counseling, a low-cost Debt Management Program and Credit Report Review Program.  CCCS is a certified HUD housing counseling agency offering several mortgage counseling programs ranging from first time homebuyer programs, Reverse Mortgage and mortgage delinquency counseling.  We process applications for the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency's Homeowners Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program and assist consumers in foreclosure prevention with a variety of programs.  We offer a variety of financial literacy programs to high schools, colleges, businesses and civic organizations and are authorized by the U.S. Trustees Office to provide the mandatory budget counseling and personal financial management education for bankruptcy filers.
